THE Hub has two new original logos – as chosen by the public.
Project leaders invited people to come up with a new logo for the centre and around 150 entries were received in the senior and junior age categories.
The ideas were designed either by hand or digitally and the youth consultation group and youngsters from InSPARation Youth Café chose the top five in each category.
The public voted for their favourite designs through The Hub’s website and the two winners have now been announced.
Steve Chan, 23, a freelance graphic designer of Woodmead road is the winner of the senior category with his design centred around the slogan ‘Working with Young People’ and Harriet Gibbs, a St Michael’s Primary School pupil, won the junior category with her idea based around the slogan ‘A Place Where Friends are Made’.
Mr Chan said: “I feel privileged to have my logo selected amongst the other great designs and I hope that the logo will help The Hub’s identity and project to move forward.”
Hub project leader Fran Williams said: “We are really pleased with the results – the logos and website are all helping to shape The Hub’s identity.
“We have already used Steven’s on the Jubilee People’s Millions poster that people will see pasted everywhere and Harriet’s is on the homepage of the website
