ENTRIES have now closed for children to become the Uplyme Fete princess and page.
Fete organisers invited children in the village to illustrate a recipe of a spell, in keeping with this year’s fancy dress theme of Harry Potter.
They are judging the entries this week and the lucky winners will be announced in next week’s paper.
The fete is on Saturday, June 18 at Uplyme Playing Field from 2pm.
A procession headed by the princess and page and joined by Lyme Regis Junior Band, the Karizma Majorettes, and Uplyme Morris Men will leave Mrs Ethelston’s at 1.45pm.
The fete will be opened by Lyme Regis town crier Phil Street and events will include stalls, a bouncy castle, a barbecue and a bar.
The Black Velvet Band will perform, and a music group from the Woodroffe School will entertain people in the village hall while they enjoy cream teas.
If anyone would like a stall please contact organiser Paula Wyon-Brown on 01297 678351.
