THE Lyme Regis Development Trust wants to find amateur film-makers to help make a ‘top secret’ pop-style video to be screened around the world.
LRDT is holding a behind-doors meeting tomorrow evening and has invited all locals who know how to make a YouTube-style video that will be shot in the town.
Tight-lipped organisers have refused to give details of the promo film – which they refer to as ‘Project X’.
A spokesman said: “We’re looking for students, amateur enthusiasts and anyone who can help us film, edit and virally circulate a three-minute video which could be key to the future fortunes of the town.
“Project X is an important and exciting scheme to bring Lyme to the attention of the planet. This is a whole-town project which will involve the entire community of Lyme.
“The film will be screened through YouTube but it’s all top secret at the moment. Anyone who reckons they could help, from knowing how to shoot a short video on their camera-phone or locals who have more professional video experience, is urgently invited to attend the meeting, where details of Project X will be revealed in the strictest confidence.
“It’s a great, feelgood project and Lyme will love it.’ Chief executive Marcus Dixon and his aides will be at the trust offices at St Michael’s business centre off Church Street at 6.30pm.
