The Abbey Farm Christmas Fair drew in families and festive shoppers from near and far.
The event was a heartwarming showcase of inclusivity, creativity, and community spirit, accortding to organisers.
Organised for the first time by Sara Holmgren, the fair aimed to provide something special for everyone—visitors, traders, and performers alike.
Sara said: "We wanted to create a diverse programme with something for all ages.
"From adorable pygmy goats in Christmas jumpers and incredible live performances to free pet portrait photography and a fantastic shopping experience, our goal was to make the event unforgettable for everyone."
This year’s fair was bigger and better than ever, with more attractions, more traders, a larger variety of traders, and an expanded programme of entertainment.
The fair took place in the picturesque village of Abbotsbury, set against the stunning backdrop of the historic Tithe Barn at Abbey Farm.
The barn was transformed into a festive wonderland adorned with twinkling fairy lights that added a touch of magic.
The weekend's highlights included Shirley and Valentine, two pygmy goats from Flowerdew Farm, and charming crowds in their festive attire.
Music and storytelling filled the air with performances by the Rock Choir, vintage group The Decadettes, vocalist Talia, and Finnian McGurk's Irish folk music.
Children delighted in a treasure hunt around Abbey Farm, while shoppers explored a rich variety of stalls featuring handmade crafts, unique gifts and treats.
Sara highlighted the event’s accessibility, saying: “We’re proud to have made this a completely free event, with all activities available at no cost—from pet portrait photography and treasure hunt prizes to live music and meeting the goats.
"It was incredibly rewarding to see families, couples, and individuals enjoying themselves"
The Abbey Farm Christmas Fair not only celebrated local talent but also embodied the spirit of the season, bringing joy to visitors and traders alike. Plans are already underway to make next year's event even more magical
