Firefighters had to force access into a storage cupboard in the early hours to prevent a blaze.
Fire alarms were ringing out at a residential property which prompted the emergency response shortly after 3am today.
After checking the alarm panel, crews investigated the scene and could smell burning coming from within the store cupboard.
Once they managed to force access, firefighters discovered an overheating electrical device.
They worked to isolate the electrical device and then handed the incident over.
After only just returning from thus incident, the water carrier was then sent out to assist Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service with a garage fire in Tytherleigh, Axminster at around 5.20am.
