The coast road is reportedly flooded at Burton Bradstock this evening.
The River Bride crosses with the B3157 coastal road here.
A flood alert, meaning flooding is possible, is in place for west Dorset rivers and streams due to prolonged rain.
A spokesperson for the Met Office said: "We anticipate river overtopping and flooding of nearby land, roads and buildings in the Rivers Lim, Char, Winniford, Simene, Brit, Asker, Mangerton and Bride areas."
Floor risk will be elevated from 5pm today to 3am tomorrow.
More rain is forecast in the coming hours, so there is a risk of further flooding, and more land and properties becoming at risk.
