A convoy of snowploughs were deployed to tackle the impassable conditions that saw chaos on Dorset roads.
Snow showers brought parts of the county to a standstill yesterday, as roads including the A35 and coast road were closed in some areas, and others, including the A37, were treacherous or impassable due to snow.
According to the council, seven snowploughs were sent out along critical routes as snow covered parts of Dorset yesterday.
The council released a video of the snowplough in action adding that more could be deployed if conditions were to have worsened.
We currently have 7 snow ploughs out on critical routes and will add more if and when conditions change. Salting is scheduled for later today.
