A big Christmas light switch-on event has been cancelled.
A festive extravaganza was due to take place at Brewery Square in Dorchester on Saturday but has been called off due to bad weather.
Organisers say the decision has been made 'with a heavy heart'
A spokesperson for Brewery Square said: "Unfortunately, the weather forecast is not in our favour, with torrential rain all day and winds of up to 50mph.
"This decision wasn’t made lightly and we have been holding onto hope, but we need to prioritise the safety of our performers, suppliers and visitors. With conditions like this, it simply wouldn’t be the magical evening we all envisioned!

"We share your disappointment as we know many of you were looking forward to this event. We had so much planned, but unfortunately, it’s not gone our way this time."
The spokesman added that Dorchester Christmas Market is still going ahead and that they're working on alternative ways to 'bring more Christmas spirit to Brewery Square.'
"We hope you can all understand this difficult decision," they said.
A storm could bring disruption and flooding to Dorset this weekend, the Met Office has warned.
Yellow warnings have been issued across Dorset ahead of the arrival of Storm Bert.
