A historian will be delving into West Bay's industrial past in an upcoming talk.
Beaminster Museum has invited historian and author Richard Sims to discuss the history of West Bay as a port.
It will take place at the museum on Whitcombe Road, Beaminster on Tuesday, November 19 at 2pm.
Mr Sims will explore West Bay's origins as Bridport harbour, through to its shipbuilding heyday. He will also cover its decline with the arrival of the railway and its eventual rebranding as a seaside resort.
Tea, cake and other refreshments will be available after the talk.
Entry for the talk costs £5 on the door.
