A Bridport man is due to appear in court in connection with a fatal car crash in west Dorset.
Joshua Jack Craven, a 22-year-old man from Bridport has been issued with a postal requisition to appear at Weymouth Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, November 13.
This is for offences of causing death by dangerous driving and causing death by driving without due care and attention while over the specified limit for a controlled drug.
At 1.34pm on Monday, January 1, Dorset Police received a report of a three-vehicle car crash on the A35 near Kingston Russell.
The vehicles involved were a silver Kia Sorento, a black Toyota Aygo and a black BMW.
A passenger of the Toyota – an 18-year-old man from Cornwall – was very sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
Three further people were taken to hospital for treatment to injuries that were not life-threatening.
