PART of a road close to Bridport town centre will be closed for underground cables work to take place.
St Michael's Lane in Bridport will be shut between its junction with Tannery Road and Kernow Pantry, a distance of approximately 65 metres.
The closure is due to come into operation on October 21 and the works are expected to be completed by November 15.
This closure order will enable National Grid, safe access to replace high voltage underground cables.
On this occasion there will be no specified alternative route for diverted traffic.
For more public notices like this, see the Bridport News Public Notices Portal here.
The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users.
For more information about the work being undertaken and access arrangements, call National Grid on 01460 273075.
