BRIDPORT manager Chris Herbst says confidence is 'sky high' as his team prepares to take on Hamble Club in the FA Vase this weekend.
The Bees welcome the Wessex League side to St Mary's on Saturday afternoon as both teams battle it out for a spot in the second round of the competition.
Herbst's side overcame Wessex League opponents in the previous round after a 3-1 win over Brockenhurst in the final qualifying round.
After the 5-1 win over Launceston in the Walter C Parsons League Cup last weekend, Herbst has full confidence his team can get a result this weekend.
He said: "We are really looking forward to it and we are really happy it is at home as we play really well on out pitch and use the space well.
"Confidence is sky high, apart from the dorchester game, our last eight games have been good and the players are looking forward to the game.
"When we played them last year, we were 2-0 up I think and they came back to win 3-2 at the death which was so frustrating."
This season however, Herbst believes that the fitness of the squad will mean that any late setbacks will be off the cards.
He added: "This season our fitness levels are really helping us through games and I think we are well equipped, but we will need to be fully at it for at least 96 minutes.
"We've got a strong squad and I back us to win, but we have to be at it.
Kick off at St Mary's is at 3pm on Saturday, October 19
