The A35 has been blocked by a herd of cows near Bridport.
Police are on the scene and have reportedly closed a section of the road whilst the cows are moved.
Between 20 and 40 cows were seen on the A35 at Lee Lane.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: "At 9.36am on Thursday, October 10, we received a report of approximately 20 cows on the carriageway of the A35 near the junction for Lee Lane in Bridport.
"Officers attended and a road closure was put in place for a short time to allow for the cows to be herded – or mooooooved – to a place of safety and returned to their owner.
"Officers left the scene at around 10.55am."
