A biker who was fighting for his life following a serious crash is now in a serious, but stable, condition.
As previously reported, Dorset Police received a report at 6.42pm on Saturday of a single-vehicle collision involving a silver Yamaha motorcycle on the A35 west of Bridport near Eype.
Emergency services attended and the motorcyclist, a man aged in his 20s, was taken by air ambulance to Southampton General Hospital for treatment to injuries that were believed to be life-threatening. His family was informed.
Road closures were put in place to allow the emergency services to respond and for an examination of the collision scene to be conducted.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: "The injured motorcyclist remains in hospital in a serious but stable condition. His injuries are no longer believed to be life-threatening.
"Our investigation into the circumstances of the collision remains ongoing."
