The county known for hosting quirky events is set to welcome bakers to compete in an exciting competition.
Dorset is well known for being the home of the world nettle eating competition and knob throwing, and now competitors are invited to take part in a Dorset Apple Cake Making competition to showcase the talented bakers in our midst.
The event will take place at Symondsbury Estate and bakers can drop off their goods 9am and 10.30am on October 27.
This competition is part of the Estate’s Apple Day event
Competitors should present their cake on a white paper plate with the name and contact details of the entrant written on the reverse
The cake can later be collected between 2pm and 3.30pm on the same day.
Chef, Angus Cowen, will be judging the competition and the winner will receive a £30 gift voucher which can be redeemed at Symondsbury Estate.
There will also be plenty of family-friendly events and activities taking place at the estate throughout the day.
