TRAIN passengers travelling westwards can expect major travel disruption as South Western Railway announces a 14-day line closure.
The two-week closure will affect all services between Exeter St Davids and Axminster.
The work starts on Saturday, November 9 and will last until Friday, November 22.
South Western Railway says it will put on replacement buses.
The line from Exeter St Davids stops at Exeter Central, Pinhoe, Cranbrook, Whimple, Feniton, Honiton and Axminster. Services from Axminster will continue as normal to London Waterloo.
The two week closure is to allow essential engineering work to be carried out. The rail service is working on the West of England line.
A spokesman for the train firm said: "The lines between Axminster and Exeter will be closed from Saturday 9 until Friday 22 November due to maintenance work.
"London Waterloo to Exeter services will terminate at Axminster. Buses will run between Axminster and Exeter."
