Heavy downpours last night have made some roads are impassable, with some vehicles becoming stuck in the water.

This flooding is particularly bad on the western side of the county and into Devon.

In Axminster, The Trafalgar Way both ways blocked due to flooding between A35 and A358 King Edward Road. A vehicle is reported to be stuck in the water.

Nearby, the A358 Chard Road is also blocked due to flooding from Second Avenue to Goldsmith Lane, with a bus reportedly stuck in the water.

Near Colyford, the A3052 is impassable due to flooding between the B3172 (Axmouth turn-off) and B3161 Coly Road.

A spokesperson for the Bridport Fire Station said: "We’ve seen some torrential downpours overnight. This has been particularly bad towards the western side of our county and into Devon.

"Please do not drive through flood water.

"Find an alternative route.

"Take note of any warnings, plan your journey and take in to account any extra time needed."

A spokesperson for Axminster Fire Station said: "Our crews have just been mobilised again alongside Charmouth Fire Station and an officer to Weycroft to rescue someone from flood water.

"Please do not enter flood water. Your car insurance may be invalid if you drive into floodwater."
