A fallen oak tree completely blocked a west Dorset road.
A group of local farmers joined together and helped to cut up the large tree which had blocked Lower Walditch Lane in Bridport yesterday.
Officers from Bridport Police were also called to the scene at about 4pm and assisted the farmers.
The west Dorset road was able to reopen about an hour later.
A spokesperson for Bridport Police said: “Police received a call at approximately 4pm yesterday regarding a fallen oak tree that had blocked the Lower Walditch Lane near the Hyde Care Home.
“Thanks to local farmers who had made a quick start at cutting up the tree prior to our arrival, the lane was able to reopen an hour later.”
