Skaters took to the Beaminster bowl for the town's first-ever skate jam.
Taking advantage of the good weather brought on by the 'Indian summer', Huck Booth, a 15-year-old skateboarder and one of the youngest qualifiers for this year's national skateboarding championships, hosted his first skate jam for all ages and levels in the Beaminster bowl.
More than 30 people from across the local community and beyond arrived to compete or spectate in a tremendous display of skill, ranging from 9-year-old learners to 40-year-old die-hard boarders.
Supported by 15 sponsors, spectators sipped their complimentary Jimmy's iced coffees and winners collected prizes ranging from boards to T-shirts, hats, trackies and any number of skateboarding must-haves.
A spokesperson for the event said: "Many thanks to the Beaminster Council for allowing Huck to run such a successful competition and put our very own skate park firmly on the map."
