Dorset Council has issued an update after one of its buses was stolen and driven 20 miles.

A Dorset Council minibus was stolen from Melcombe Regis, Weymouth at 11.15am on Sunday, September 22.

The vehicle came to a stop in Fox Close, Bradpole at around 12pm the same day, and police arrested a 33-year-old woman from Weymouth on suspicion of theft.

Police say there were no reports of any injuries.

A resident of Fox Close said: "All I saw was it screeching round the corner with someone holding on behind what looked like a smashed window, with the police car hot on their heels."
