A missing woman was found with the assistance of police and coastguard crews.
Dorset Police were called alongside coastguard teams from West Bay, Lyme Regis and Beer to reports of a concern for welfare of a woman who had gone missing in the Marine Parade area of Lyme Regis on Sunday, September 15 at around 2am.
The woman was quickly found less than an hour later and taken to safety.
She was given appropriate care and required no further assistance from the coastguard crews.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: "We received a report at 2.13am on Sunday, September 15 from the coastguard in relation to a report raising concern for the welfare of a woman believed to be in the area of Marine Parade in Lyme Regis.
"The woman was located at around 2.50am and given appropriate care."
A spokesperson for HM Coastguard said: "HM Coastguard received a report of a missing person near Lyme Regis beach at 2:00am on Sunday, September 15.
"Coastguard rescue teams from Lyme Regis, West Bay and Beer were sent.
"The person was found and needed no further assistance."
