A man who went missing off the coast in Seatown has been located.
Coastguard teams from West Bay and Lyme Regis were called to reports of a person who had gone missing in the water near Seatown on Monday, September 9.
The Lyme Regis team was stood down before arriving on the scene as the missing man had returned to shore.
The coastguard team from West Bay continued to check on the condition of the man.
A spokesperson for West Bay Coastguard Rescue Team said: "On Monday, September 9 at 2.43pm we were called to a missing person in the water at Seatown.
"Whilst en route our flank team Lyme Regis Coastguard Team were stood down as the casualty was reported to have returned to shore.
"Officers from the West Bay Coastguard Team were asked to proceed to check on the casualty and offer safety advice."
