Two roads are set for closure in a Dorset village as resurfacing works take place.
The overnight works are set to take place from Friday, September 6, at 8pm – Saturday, September 7 at 6am in Uplyme.
Closures will be in place on parts of Roman Road and Uplyme Road at the roundabout with Clappentail Lane.
Works were postponed from October last year and a road closure notice in place for five days.
Lyme Regis Town Council Community Highways Team Leader has clarified that double yellow lines will not be part of these resurfacing and relining works, as the Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) has not scored highly enough in the assessment process.
The works will be targeted and localised repairs to sections of the roads.
During the closure periods there will be no on street parking available, and temporary parking restrictions will be implemented to prevent waiting or parking on the roads and any vehicle waiting in contravention of temporary parking restrictions may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
