Two history talks will take place in Bridport delving into the history of the town's butchers and church bells.
Richard Balson, owner of, RJ Balson and Son butchers, will be presenting a talk at 7pm on Thursday, October 3 at St Mary's Church about how England's oldest family business has grown throughout the years.
He will be taking listeners on a journey back to 1515 exploring how life, the business and butchery as a whole survived fires, plagues, floods, recessions and wars to still be serving the people of Bridport more than five centuries later.
Earlier this year, the business made national headlines when the team met former Prime Minister Rishi Sunak at the Farm to Fork Summit 2024.

Tickets cost £5 on the door and are also available to buy RJ Balson and Son on West Allington.
