A club which fundraises for community causes has enjoyed its annual picnic whilst announcing some of their events for the next year.
The Inner Wheel of Bridport has welcomed new-joint presidents Jenny and Irene, whilst announcing their programme of events.
Festivities will include a race night, circle dancing and a talk by a local chimney sweep. There will also be a fundraising bingo event taking place in November before a fashion show is scheduled for next spring.
Fundraising has been going on through the summer as one member, Jennifer Tett, raised £100 from the sale of her painted cards and donated the proceeds to the Dorset and Somerset air ambulance service- a charity close to her heart.
Holding no formal meeting this month, the club has instead held a picnic at Hive Beach in which 14 members and some partners attended on a sunny, albeit windy, afternoon.
Inner Wheel meets monthly at Hadden House in West Bay, and are always welcoming new members. Contact mave.gurd@gmail.com for more information.
