A coastguard rescue team has pulled a person from the water in Charmouth.
The casualty was brought to safety on Charmouth East Beach earlier today before they were placed into the care of paramedics.
A coastguard rescue team from Lyme Regis was dispatched to a 'medical episode' and confirmed that the person was rescued from the water at the beach.
It is not known at this stage to the extent of any injuries or the condition of the casualty.
A spokesperson for HM Coastguard said: "At approximately 1pm today (18 August) Lyme Regis Coastguard Rescue Team responded to a medical episode at Charmouth Beach.
"The individual was conveyed into the care of South Western Ambulance Service."
