A LARGE plant fair will be held at Abbotsbury Subtropical Gardens featuring up to 30 independent nurseries, specialist growers and craft stalls.
The fair, on Sunday, September 1 from 10am to 3pm, has been organised by charity Plant Heritage Dorset and its proceeds will support plant conservation, education and events in Dorset
A wide range of plants will be available from various stalls alongside craft stalls, blacksmith, wildlife stalls and a solar-powered barista coffee stall.
It costs £7 to get in, which includes free access to the award winning subtropical gardens (20 acres) until 5pm - this would normally cost £12.95.
Admission is free to UK Plant Heritage members, on production of a current card.
In addition to the nurseries, Plant Heritage will also have its own large plant stall selling interesting and unusual plants, grown by its own members (some are National Collection Holders) - 50 per cent of these plant sales will go to charity.
Plant sales are by cash and card (4G signal can be patchy).
Well behaved dogs welcome on a short lead (not extending) - fresh water will be provided near the coffee stall.
Buy tickets on the day or via the Abbotsbury Ticket website.
