The West Bay seafront was taken over once again for a day of music, family fun and fireworks.

The annual West Bay Day featured many activities and a climactic firework finish.

The event on Sunday - which celebrates the area’s rich history, heritage, quality of food, and local businesses - enjoyed slightly overcast but warm weather this year.

It included an array of fun activities and entertainment for the whole family including stalls and refreshments, live music, and a duck race.

"Thank you to all our sponsors and our volunteers without them we would not be able to make it happen. It is going from strength to strength each year it's amazing."

This year, the event was supporting a series of causes, such as the Bridport U10s football team, Bridport Youth Kick Boxing and Bridport Men’s Wellness.

Steeped in tradition, the roots of the festival can be traced back to 1844, when it was known as the West Bay Regatta.

West Bay Days was formed in 2012, and are a group of volunteers dedicated to the future of the area. They organise other events popular in the town, such as Pirates Day and the Christmas Tree on Harbour Green.
