A VILLAGE road in west Dorset is to be closed for the installation of a new water main.
Green Pit Knapp at Catherston Leweston, between Wootton Fitzpaine and Charmouth, will be partially closed from August 19.
The road will be closed between the entrance to Little Catherston Farm and a point approximately 300 metres south east.
It's anticipated that the works will be completed by September 13.
The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users.
The temporary closure order will enable Wessex Water to install a new water main.
An alternative route will be signed using The Street - Axminster Road - A35 - Westover Hill.
