A Scottish comedian’s trip to a seaside town in Dorset will be aired on national television tonight.
Susan Calman’s Grand Day Out, a Channel 5 television series, sees the star explore Britain’s sights in her vintage campervan, going and up and down the country.
So far on her adventures spanning seven seasons, she has travelled to, among other places, Cornwall, Yorkshire, Belfast and Shropshire, and Weymouth. Tonight (Thursday, August 1) the presenter will head to Dorset again.
In episode five airing tonight, Susan journeys to Lyme Regis and visits the historic Cobb to pay homage to a classic film.
She will then meet with Carry On film star Anita Harris before taking to the water with a Gig Boat Racing Team.
The show also makes a splash with the Lyme Regis-Splash water polo team, who faced off against the Bridport Barracudas during filming.
She caused a stir in the town when she was filming, as Sarah Culliford-Lewis snapped these pictures during her visit.
Susan is known for playing therapist Nadine on Channel 4 comedy Fresh Meat, and has also been a regular panellist on CBBC show, The Dog Ate My Homework. She also appeared on season 15 of Strictly Come Dancing.
The Lyme Regis show in Susan Calman's Grand Day Out will premiere tonight at 9pm on Channel 5, before she heads east to Eastbourne next week. It can be seen on catch up service My 5.
