Hundreds of people have flocked to the west Dorset coast as the mini-heatwave gives holidaymakers the 'perfect start' to the summer holidays.
Hive Beach, West Bay and Lyme Regis have been packed with holidaymakers these past few days, thanks to the first full week of the summer holidays for many combined with a well-timed heatwave.
Temperatures reached as high as 30 degrees in parts of Dorset on Tuesday, with it expected to stay relatively warm for the next few days - though rain is forecast early next week.
However, thunderstorms are also expected to hit the UK today, and a yellow weather warning is in force for much of the country.
