People can step back into local history with an immersive history day.
Beaminster Museum will be hosting a Living History Day on Saturday, August 10 where volunteers will be sharing their knowledge on different aspects of the museum's collection.
Visitors can discover facts such as how Beaminster helped Nelson win the Battle of Trafalgar, what happened to the Witch of Netherbury or why the River Brit is so named. They can also see how the museum's newly acquired 3D printer is helping to "virtually" expand the collection and create interactive displays.
There will also be themed activities to entertain children and grandchildren as well as dress up and a Design a Dorset Button competition.
The museum is open 10.30am to 4.00pm on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Bank Holidays and 2pm to 4pm on Sundays.
