Firefighters forced entry to a west Dorset home after a fire broke out.
Two pumps from Bridport Fire Station attended the property fire in Bridport.
Upon arrival, crews discovered that the owner of the property had gone out and left the hob on.
Firefighters isolated the gas to prevent further escalation.
A spokesperson for Bridport Fire Station said: “Both pumps mobilised to a property fire in Bridport
“The owner of the property had left the hob on and left the premises unattended.
“Crews gained entry to the property and isolated the gas to prevent further escalation.”
