A ROAD will be partially closed for works to replace a sewer in a west Dorset village.
Part of Back Street in Portesham will be shut for a distance of approximately 35 metres, from Monday, August 12 to Friday, August 23.
The residential road will be closed between houses number 4 and number 9.
This temporary closure order will enable utilities firm Wessex Water safe access to repair sewer which is currently causing loss of service.
There will be a sign in place to divert motorists using New Road - Front Street.
The temporary closure order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users.
