Organisers of a popular agricultural show are ‘excited’ to announce this year’s main attraction.

The Melplash Show, organised by the Melplash Agricultural Society will take place on Thursday, August 22 at the West Bay show grounds near Bridport.

It is a celebration of the areas horticulture, livestock, and is a packed with agricultural exhibitions as well as 400 trade stalls selling everything from local produce to tractors.

Now, organisers have shared that the Broke Freestyle Motocross Display Team will be performing at the show as the main attraction.

Philip Hardwill, Melplash Agricultural Society Chairman, said: “We are very excited to be welcoming the incredible Broke FMX team to the show.

“Their breathtaking stunts including flying 35ft in the air and 75ft in distance whilst doing all sorts of aerobic manoeuvres will get everyone sitting on the edge of their seats.”

The Broke FMX team will replace the King’s Troop, Royal Horse Artillery as the new main attracyion in the Bradford’s main ring.

This is because the King’s Troop face an exceptionally busy summer ceremonial period and have been instructed to give priority to their preparations for the King’s Accession Day on Monday, September 9.

Representatives from the King’s Troop will still be holding a stand at the show, as they did last year, to promote career opportunities for young people and share what they do with members of the public.

The society was founded in 1847 and is celebrating 177 years this year. For more information on all the events at the Melplash Show, visit: https://www.melplashshow.co.uk/
