NEW signs including advertising boards and menu displays have been agreed for the Rock Point Inn, Broad Street, Lyme Regis - and are already in place.

The business, which is a listed grade 2 building, within the town’s conservation area, asked for ten new signs, which the St Austell brewery company said would be of “high-quality contemporary design which will make a positive contribution to the active and vibrant street scene" and continue to preserve the 'significance' of the building and the conservation area.

Featured in the designs is an ammonite, one of the fossils associated with Lyme Regis and historic fossil collector Mary Anning.

One of the signs was omitted from the original proposal on the west side of the building because of highway concerns.
