A west Dorset restaurant is bringing the flavour and spice of Mexico to its diners this month.

The Seaside Boarding House in Burton Bradstock is welcoming Marvin Jones, the executive chef of London-based  Mexican restaurants El Pastor for an exclusive dinning experience on Saturday, July 13.

The restaurants across London are inspired inspired by the decade that founders Sam Hart and Crispin Somerville spent in Mexico City, running cult nightclub El Colmillo and their subsequent desire to create quality taquerias for London akin to those they enjoyed in Mexico’s capital and beyond.

The visit is part of a series of residencies taking place at the restaurant this summer with each guest chef joining The Seaside Boarding House team in the kitchen for one day, cooking a set menu for a 60-cover dinner.

Marvin will be the fifth guest chef of the year and has worked with three of the most respected chefs in the restaurant industry including Gary Rhodes, Raymond Blanc and the Roux family.

A limited number of tickets are now on general sale for the £75 set menu which will include crab and tuna tostadas, angus short rib and sea bream tacos - all served with a selection of delicious and traditional Mexican relishes and garnishes.

Tickets for the dinning experience can be purchased online at https://theseasideboardinghouse.com/offer/marvin-jones-from-el-pastor/
