Morris dancers will be taking to the seafront for an annual dance parade.

Lyme Morris will be holding it annual “Day of Dance” on Saturday, July 13.

The group is a traditional morris dancing side, who perform in their white and green livery and iconic top hats, favouring the use of long sticks with high energy, high impact dances.

There will be 28 different sides, a term used to refer to the different teams of morris dancers, coming from across the country with approximately 400 dancers expected to attend the event.

The parade will take place along the Lyme Regis seafront from 11am with a grand finale of morris dancing at 5pm.

This will be followed by free entertainment from 6pm which will include a seafront Ceilidh dance with folk band Teasing the Cat performing on the main stage. 

Bands Hot Fudge and Blues & Soul will also be performing on the main stage from 8pm.
