SEVERAL proposals for changes to properties in West Dorset have been refused by planning officers.

They include the replacement and extension of first floor balcony railings in Lyme Regis and a new  casement window at a commercial property in South Street, Bridport.

Also refused is a proposal to demolish an existing single storey rear lean-to and to build a single storey rear orangery at a home in Littlewindsor.

Included in the planning approvals this week is the detail of a ‘mirror’ holiday home at Parnham House, opposite the Dower House; changes to the Dower House itself and the construction of a pool and pool building, all previously reported.

P/HOU/2024/02432 - 26 West Allington Bridport DT6 5BQ. Re-build garden brick wall as similar as possible to original structure. Granted.

P/CLP/2024/02538 - 38 Culverhayes Beaminster DT8 3DG. Certificate of lawfulness to construct external walls, floor and small flat roof extension to existing link porch roof between main house and annexe. Refused.
