Woody the dog faced quite an ordeal at the weekend when they fell 30ft down a cliff and needed to be rescued.
The fire service rushed to the rescue, including a crew from Bridport Fire Station and the technical rescue team from Weymouth.
Pictures from Stuart Davis and Bridport Fire Station show just how precarious Woody's position was, and the rescue that ensued.
The fire crews set up rope rescue equipment to send someone down the cliff to rescue Woody.
Woody was brought without any serious injuries and was reunited with his owners.
A spokesperson for the Bridport Fire Station said: "One pump was mobilised to an animal rescue near Seatown along with the technical rescue team from Weymouth Fire Station.
"On arrival, crews were met by the owners of Woody the labradoodle who had unfortunately fallen down the side of the cliff and was stuck approximately 30 feet down.
"Crews set up their rope rescue equipment and sent an operative down to rescue the dog. Thankfully Woody didn’t sustain any serious injuries and was reunited with very relived owners.
"Please remember to keep your dogs on a lead when walking along the cliffs. No matter how well-trained your dog is, it only takes one small mishap."
