A Bridport family business will be celebrating their favourite summer flower with the launch of a new festival.
The Rose Festival will run from Saturday June 22 to Sunday June 30 and includes rose trails with themed areas to help both beginner and avid gardeners brighten up their archway or brighten up shady parts of their garden.
It will be organised Groves Nurseries and Garden Centre in Bridport which recently received a Level 5 Sustainable Business Award. The centre also won an award in 2023 for its Christmas Tree Appeal in a national competition run by Garden Trade News.

Visitors can also get advice and guidance will be available from the rose experts at the garden centre who grow the roses in the plant nursery – a large area which includes indoor plants and trees.
In a typical year, over 5000 roses are grown in its plant nursery, featuring over 100 different varieties of the flower.
Visitors can also enter the special festival competition where the winner will receive a rose-themed treat hamper packed full of gardening goodies.
The full rose selection is available at its Bridport store, and some varieties are also on sale at its small sister venue, Little Groves, in Beaminster.
Refreshments are also available to buy at the Ivy House Kitchen located in the centre.
