A huge celebration of culinary delights will take over a town this weekend as its marks its twentieth anniversary.
The Bridport Food Festival and Beer Festival returns celebrating local food and drink in the market town.
The Beer Festival will take place on Friday, June 14 between 6pm to 11pm and Saturday, June 15 from 11am to 11pm. The Food Festival will take place on Saturday, June 15 from 9.30am to 5pm. The venue for both events is Askers Meadow
A full day includes an array of local food vendors, children’s activities, cookery theatre and more.
Around 70 beers and 50 ciders will be on offer at the beer festival, with lager, cocktails, wine, and Pimm's also available throughout the days.
On Friday, there will be a performance from Stillyano between 9pm to 11pm. On Saturday, there will be a DJ between 5pm to 8pm before Double D Jr will take over the stage from 8pm to 11pm
At the food festival, guests will be able to enjoy a line-up of talks and food from chefs at the cookery theatre, featuring Ukrainian cuisine from Olya of Zhiva Authentica, treats from Summer Lodge, Andy Tyrell from Soulshine Café, the Taj Mahal in Bridport, and Valentine Warner.
There will also be the Young Cooks’ Festival Kitchen, which will feature free drop-in activities, including a breakfast smoothie presentation, a Dorset Kebab session and food-themed art making.
During the weekend there will also be a number of talks from local food producers and community groups sharing their stories.
Bridport Town Council have partnered with the organisers to bring the Bridport Food Matters tent at the festival. Attendees can expect to participate in a wide range of exciting activities, such as 'design your ideal community food hub' and pop-up cooking experiences. The marquee will be a space for discussion on the recently released "Food Security Plan", what it is, what are the priorities, and how the public can get involved.
Bridport Round Table supports local events and charities, and the beer festival is its biggest fundraising event of the year.
Proceeds from the festival go directly to supporting those in the local community who require assistance the most, and who often cannot get the help they need elsewhere.
Tickets are £3.50 in advance, or £5 on the day.
