A hair and beauty salon in Symondsbury is celebrating reaching the finals of a prestigious national hair and beauty awards ceremony.

S.H.E.D. Eco Hair and Beauty was named a finalist in three categories at the UK Hair and Beauty Awards 2024.

These categories were Best Salon, Best Salon Décor and Best Hair Stylist of the Year with S.H.E.D’s salon manager and art director Paula Davies being put forward for the award.

The salon was established in 2014 and work to promote sustainability through using eco-friendly products and practices.

The award ceremony, a red-carpet event, was held in Birmingham with various businesses in attendance to celebrate the nation’s hair and beauty industry.

Although the salon did not win the top prize, the team have shared their delight at being shortlisted for national awards.

Faye Brown, salon owner, said: “Whilst we didn’t take home the top prizes, reaching the finals was a tremendous achievement”

“We had an incredible time celebrating as a team and sharing the evening with so many talented professionals from our industry.

“It was an honour to be recognised alongside such esteemed peers and to experience the vibrant and inspiring community within the hair and beauty world.
