A crash closed a west Dorset road last night.
Police were called to the scene of a crash on Portesham Hill.
The road was closed between Hardy’s Monument and The King’s Arms pub to allow emergency services to deal with the incident.
Police have now confirmed that a man from Bridport has died.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: "Officers were called to the scene of a road traffic collision on Portesham Hill in West Dorset.
"We would ask motorists to please seek alternative routes."
