A former royal gardener will be speaking on gardening as a British tradition at a club in West Dorset.
The Bridport and District Gardening Club will be welcoming Margie Hoffnung to its next meeting at the Women's Institute building on North Street in Bridport on Thursday, June 20 at 7.30pm.
Margie has spent some years as a gardener at Highgrove for King Charles III as well as manning Jekka McVicar’s herb stand at flower shows like Chelsea and Hampton Court for several seasons.
She subsequently completed a Masters degree in the Conservation of Historic Gardens & Cultural Landscapes at University of Bath and since 2013 has worked for the Garden History Society (now the Gardens Trust) as a conservation officer.
Entrance to the talk is free for members and £2 for non-members.
