A gull was caught in the wire mesh of a Bridport house's chimney.
The Bridport Fire Station was called to the gull on Claremont Road around noon on Thursday, May 2 to assist the RSPCA.
A spokesperson for the Bridport Fire Station said: "Crews used one nine-metre ladder, one roof ladder and working at height gear.
"The gull was handed over to the RSPCA officer for assessment."
Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue could not confirm the condition of the gull.
The RSPCA has been asked for more information.
