West Dorset has once again appeared on TV screens across the country.
ITV News watchers may have noticed a familiar sight when watching last night’s weather forecast.
Weather presenter Alex Beresford appeared live on top of the cliffs at Eype to deliver the weather forecast.
These cliffs have recently been subjected to a dramatic landslide.
A number of flood alerts have also been put in west Dorset.
The Environment Agency has said river levels are forecast to rise on the River Lim, River Char, River Winniford, Simene River, River Brit, River Asker, River Mangerton and River Bride.
Flooding is also forecast to affect locations near the Upper Dorset Frome, Hooke River, with low lying land expected to be most affected, particularly around Dorchester Road and Frome Lane area of Maiden Newton.
Heavy, thundery rain through the morning, perhaps easing for a time, but with further outbreaks arriving through the afternoon. Best of any drier and brighter spells across Cornwall later. Feeling cool, under cloud and rain. Maximum temperature 14 °C.
Tomorrow’s weather will see rain and drizzle clearing to leave most places drier, brighter and warmer with a maximum temperature of 17 °C.
The forecast will remain changeable over the weekend with showers of longer spells of rain at times, mixed in with some sunshine.
It will feel warm in any sunshine and light winds.
