Part of a village road has been closed because of a landslip.
The unnamed road at Loders will be closed for 18 months because the landslide has made it unsafe.
It will be shut from its junction with Yellow Lane and the entrance to Corfe Farm, a distance of approximately 710 metres.
Dorset Council has made the order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended.
The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users.
It came into operation, yesterday, April 22, and will remain in force for 18 months.
This order is required for health and safety reasons.
A locally signed diversion route is in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections.
Anyone who would like further information concerning this Order should call 01305 221020 or see dorsetcouncil.gov.uk/roadworksevents
Any person who uses or permits the use of a vehicle in contravention of the Notice will be liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding £1000.
