Members of the public are invited to a community roadshow to ask questions about their local water company.
South West Water will be heading to Lyme Regis on Thursday, April 18 for its latest community roadshow event where it will share investment plans and address customer concerns.
The event will take place at Woodmead Hall on Hill Road from 12.30pm to 4.30pm.
There will be market stalls in the venue dedicated to different topics such as tackling network blockages, helping customers with their bills and natural resources.
Laura Flowerdew, chief customer and digital officer at South West Water, said: “We really do care what our customers think about both our performance and investment plans. This is why we are continuing to travel around the south west region and talk to our customers in person.
“These roadshows are opportunities for us to meet with local customers, listen to their concerns and provide clear answers on the work we are doing to invest in and protect the region we all care so deeply about.”
The company also announced plans to improve all storm overflows connected to the River Lim by 2027 as part of its wider investment of £2.8 billion across the region. This will include looking at ways to separate surface water from entering the sewer network and increasing storm storage solutions
The investment also aims to help maintain Lyme Regis beach’s ‘good’ bathing water quality classification, as assessed by the Environment Agency, and work towards improving this to ‘excellent’ in the future.
