The A35 was blocked after a single-vehicle crash between Lyme Regis and Charmouth.
Police were called at 5.16am today to a report of a crash on the A35 Charmouth Bypass.
It was further reported that a tree had fallen on the road, however, police could not confirm whether the fallen tree was related to the crash.
No injuries were reported in the crash.
Recovery was requested for the vehicle.
The road was subsequently closed and the local authority was made aware.
The road was then reopened at around 7.45am.
